Can CF880 be used outdoors?
To be honest, this cable is mainly intended for indoor use. Could you install it outdoors? Technically you can, but you'll need to add extra waterproofing on your own. Even then, it doesn't resist UV rays, so sunlight will gradually damage the sheath over time. It's really not worth the hassle.
What's the difference between CF880 and CF881?
The main difference is shielding. CF881 comes with a tinned copper braided shield (around 60% coverage) that effectively blocks electrical interference. That makes it the better choice if you're using it near motors, drives, or other equipment that produces electrical noise. CF880 has no shielding at all - it works perfectly fine in quieter, cleaner environments, but won't perform as well where there's a lot of electrical interference.
